Happy New Year everyone!

We are already getting excited and preparing for this year’s shares. Here’s an update to make sure you have the information you need, as registration is coming up soon.

We had our first CSA Core Group meeting of the year on January 28th. There was a lot to discuss. Check out the minutes on our CSA website.

If all goes as planned registration will be open to past CSA members before the end of the month. Please check your email to make sure you don’t miss your invitation to register.

There are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in the CSA this year. We have several Core Group positions open. Check the minutes for more about the positions and descriptions. Interested? Email us right away to claim your title.

Do you love the social aspect of the CSA and getting to know your fellow Hellgate CSA members? If you have always wanted to host a CSA event (wine and cheese night, beer brewing, canning, stewing, picnic in the park, touch football, etc) this is your big chance! Send us an email and tell us your idea. Our events coordinators can assist you in planning and promoting the event. No idea is too big or too small. Let us know ASAP about any ideas you have for activities or events so we can put it on the events schedule!

* Meet the Farmer – TBA (Tentatively scheduled for 5/27 at 6:30pm)

* First Veggie Share Distribution – 6/3

* First Fruit and Tortilla/Salsa Share Distribution – 6/17

* Strawberry Picking at Green Thumb Farm, Watermill, Long Island – 6/21
