Lewis Waite Farm Newsletter

The frost this morning was so thick it looked like it had snowed lightly over the fields and trees. It was almost 40 degrees and humid at an early bird hour of 5 a m when we woke to load the van for our first turkey delivery of the season. The Thursday trip this week in divided in half so luckily we were able to practice on a smaller load. There is another trip on Saturday.  The extra freezer space we need to manage four groups of boxes from Stonewood Farm is substantial. Luckily we still have a reserve freezer in the old milk house of the Waite’s farm barn where we started our venture many years ago.

So next week on Tuesday, we’ll be coming to your site and we hope that you have all placed the orders you want, with all the scrumptious foods for the beginning of our month long holiday binge eating extravaganza until January when we all start dieting!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday next week. We will be coming once per month to provide you goodies until May. Please check your website –See my extra product schedule for the locations and dates. (we will finish entering them next week).

Best wishes Alan & Nancy

Don’t forget, the order deadline is November 19th, and delivery is on November 24th.

Please remember to place your orders on time as late orders are a disruption to all of the farms involved.
