Just a note to everyone who uses the scales at distribution... that would be everyone!  As you know, some items are sorted by the pound rather than the piece, like fruit, peppers, etc.  Please make sure that when you weigh your items you are using the imperial (American, non-metric) measurements, not the metric ones.  Imperial numbers are black, metric are red - if you weigh items using the metric side you will take more produce than you should.  This can lead to running out of something lightweight, like peppers, which means your fellow CSA members arriving later during distribution will be outta luck.  And sad.
We know it's easy to find this confusion with the scales, but hope you will remember this note next week at distribution.   Just remember, black not red!  Thanks!
